Nakaw, a film by Noel Escondo and Arvin “Kadiboy”
Belarmino, will be screened in the Short Film Corner of the 2017 Cannes Film
Festival.
First screened at
the Instituto Cervantes’ 15th Manila Spanish Festival, Nakaw narrates
the story of Bateng, a little boy who experienced a series of life-changing
events after he stole a purse. The film stars Kristoffer King, Frank Ferguson,
Angelo Gammad, Duke San Juan, and Sheika Aljunabi produced by Patsy Ferrer and Michael Cruz.
The film will be
showcased along with a number of short films from all over the world. Cannes
Film Festival Short Film Corner will run from May 22 to 28, 2017.
